Sweet Pickled Radishes


3 bunches of radishes sliced in half
Half an onion
3 cloves garlic
Boil 1 quart vinegar with 1 cup of sugar and 1/4 cup pickling spice, simmer, pour into sterilized packed jars, let cool & refrigerate. Ready in 24 hours up to a couple weeks. The color will turn uniform pink!
The next day: This is not a yummy food. It tastes like sweet cucumber pickles but with a soft radish texture. Maybe, MAYBE would try a sour version. Recommendation: Do Not Make. There is a reason these are not commonly available in grocery stores :)
