- 1 cups basmati rice
- 1 cup broken angel hair pasta
- 2 cups liquid: 1 can Campbell's beef consomme, about 1/4 cup water, 2 tablespoons Dale's Seasoning and 2 tablespoons of Johnny's French Dip Au Jus concentrate, which I found randomly in a grocery store and you'll probably never be able to find because I've never heard of it before.
- 1 diced white onion
- 1 large diced clove garlic
- pinch of sugar
- juice of one lime
- garlic salt and onion salt to taste
- 1 small can diced pineapple, each cut in half
- parsley for color
- green onion garnish, with more lime
- 2 teaspoons turmeric
- 1 tsp MSG
- more lime in case you missed that the first few times
Sauteed the rice and pasta in 2 tbsp butter in the rice pan but over the stove burner about 15 minutes till pasta is golden, then put the pan in the cooker and added the liquid and cooked normally.
I chopped up a few slices of hard salami and threw it in for fun. Some diced Armour Dried Beef would be good in this, or even better, roast down some shank steaks/oxtails/short ribs etc. pulling the meat and drying it out on a sheet pan to concentrate flavors and create texture.
